Fredrick I. Twiehaus

Fred I. Twiehaus, 74 of Carmel, IN, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his home. Fred was born January 6, 1938 in Independence, MO to the late Florence Fred William and Kathryn Gard Twiehaus. With the death of his father, he was adopted by his uncle I.J. Twiehaus and his wife, Marian. Fred was a graduate of Wentworth Military Academy. He had a 32year career with Quaker State Oil, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and River Glen Country Club. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, August 8 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 9:30 until the time of the service. Fred is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia; children, Warren (Laurie), Kim, John (Marilyn) and Thomas (Tiki); grandchildren, Dana, Sara, Erin, Spencer, Joel, Nate, Adlee, Ellie and Isaiah; sisters, Lou Ann Goodnight, Kathleen Gibbens and Linda (Michael) Owen. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Fred. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the donor's charity of choice.
