Frederick Jack Perkins

Frederick Jack Perkins, age 88, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at The Village of Avon in Avon, Indiana. Frederick (Jack) was born December 31, 1926 in Indianapolis to Edward and Odessa Perkins. He met Geraldine (Cartmel) Perkins at just 16 years of age, and later on May 6, 1947 they married; a devoted union lasting 62 years. Residents of Maywood area of Indianapolis, Jack retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company. Jack was a gardening enthusiast and private pilot. Jack and Geraldine had three sons: Dennis (Linda), William (Christine) both families of Avon, IN and John who died in 2006. He leaves three grandchildren Dennise (Randall), Carolyn (Bryan), Samantha, as well as four great grandchildren: Travis, Luke, Adam and Reagan. He is also survived by a brother, Vaughn Perkins, and sister, Maxine (Perkins) Schrader, and many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway from 11am- 1pm, with funeral services held at 1pm. Burial will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery.
