Frederick Leonard Doerr III

Frederick Leonard Doerr III, of Greenfield, Indiana, formerly of the West Side of Indianapolis passed away on Saturday evening, April 4, 2026.

Fred was born on May 6, 1973 in Indianapolis, a son of his father Frederick Leonard Doerr II and his mother Michelle (Murphy) Perkins.

Fred is preceded in death by his father: Frederick Leonard Doerr II.

He is survived by his mother: Michelle (husband Tom) Perkins of Carmel, Indiana.

Fred is survived by his loving partner of over 30 years: Teresa Smith of Greenfield, Indiana.

One son: Lars Doerr of Greenfield, Indiana.

One brother: Eric (wife Dusty) Doerr of Lebanon, Indiana.

Nephew: Mason Doerr and nephew: Ethan Doerr.

Fred grew up in Indianapolis on the East side.

Throughout his working and professional career he worked in the concrete and construction business.

In his free time he loved tinkering in his garage. Fred and Teresa enjoyed going for walks and going for long drives. 

He greatly enjoyed refinishing wood furniture. He also enjoyed politics and CNN. 

Most importantly Fred was loving partner, father, son, brother, and uncle who whose generous and compassionate nature will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park Funeral Center, located at 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.

His funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 2:00 PM. Chaplain Tom Bartley.

Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
