Freda Faye Stephenson

Freda F. Stephenson, 80, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018. She was born March 16, 1938 to Harry and Mary “Polly” Poland. She attended Washington High School, and she retired from Mike’s Speedway Lounge in 2006. Freda enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She will always be remembered for her big heart and her distinctive laugh. She could light up any room with her smile. Freda was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend.

Left behind to cherish her memory are; daughters, Kathy Rogers, Kim (Mark) Williamson; sons, Ronald and Michael Stephenson; sister, Betty Kernodle; brothers, Fred (Lisa) Poland, David (Melinda) Poland, Greg (Laurie) Poland; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Stephenson, whom she was married to for over 56 years; brother, Dick Poland; grandson, Eric Seller; great-grandson, Jordon; and brother-in-law, Ricky Stephenson.

The family will celebrate Freda’s life with a memorial service on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 12 noon at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park 425 N. Holt Rd INDPLS 46222. Friends may call on Friday from 10 AM up until the time of the service.
