Fred Layton Whysong

Fred Layton Whysong died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the age of 64 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born January 4, 1948 to the late Donald Weir and Laura Lucretia (nee Cunningham) Whysong. Spending his lifetime in the Indianapolis area, he met his wife Susie Whysong with whom he spent 40 years of marriage. Fred loved to build things and work with his hands including building a train set at his home. But most of all Fred treasured his time with his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren and all who knew him. Fred is survived by his loving wife Susie Whysong; daughters Erin Whysong Garner (Jason), Jill Singh, and Sheila Whysong; grandchildren Adarian Whysong, Maxine Miles, Jonathan Miles, and Marcus Garner; as well as 2 sisters, a brother, cousins and many friends. An Open House will be held Sunday, August 26 beginning at 2 PM at the Whysong family's home, 951 Routiers Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46219.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 941 E 86th St # 100 Indianapolis, IN 46240.
