Frank Stankovich

Frank Stankovich, 87, Indianapolis, passed away on November 4, 2023. Frank was born in Boise, ID and adopted by his parents, Daspo Stankovich and Myrtle Ensey Stankovich.

Frank graduated from Arsenal Tech high school and began working with Bookwalter printing company.   He retired from his career as head pressman and Union Vice President with Rand McNally after 35 years of service.  Frank enjoyed photography, roller skating, collecting things and traveling the country.  He was very active with his immediate family and loved them most of all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daspo and Myrtle Stankovich and his wife, Joy Acton Stankovich.

Survivors include his devoted companion of 28 years, Patricia Knose, daughter, Dawn Merritt (spouse Bob) sons, Lee M. Stankovich (spouse Mary), and Matthew Stankovich, granddaughter, Charlene Shirrell (spouse DJ) and grandsons, Jason Bazan (spouse Stacy), Kevin Merritt, and Dustin Merritt, great-grandchildren, Bryston Stankovich, Damian Shirrell, and Ashton Shirrell.

Visitation will be held Thursday November 9th from 10:00am to 11:00am at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis. Funeral services will begin there at 11:00am. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
