Frank R. Morris

January 22, 1934 — July 17, 2025

Indianapolis

Frank R. Morris, 91, passed away peacefully July 17th, 2025. He was born January 22nd, 1934, in Quaker City, Ohio to parents Roscoe and Ruth Morris.

Frank spent his early years in Ohio and Michigan. Later in life, Frank moved wherever the wind took him. He enjoyed living in many different states, especially San Diego, California.

As a young man, Frank proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps (USMC). His service and dedication influenced his grandson to join the Armed Forces.

On November 7th, 1974, Frank married the love of his life Nancy. They just shared their Golden Anniversary of 50 wonderful years. Nancy was his angel, and they renewed their vows, “getting married again” every decade they were together. Frank felt that God delivered Nancy to him, and he was eternally grateful for her love and their relationship.

Frank was a vibrant, strong man of God. His faith was an inspiration to all that knew him. Selfless and generous, Frank loved to dress as Santa during Christmas time. Often, he visited nursing homes, offered prayers for other, and was always willing to help anyone in need. In his younger years, he took great pride in his physique and enjoyed working out, staying fit. Frank enjoyed the quiet peace of nature, fishing and hunting. But he also loved the loud roar of his Harley Davidson. Frank was a talented poet, expressing his emotions and love beautifully with his words.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife Nancy; six children Carli, Dawn, Shannon, Debra, Amanda and Rick; and was blessed with an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by all of his siblings.

Frank’s visitation will be Saturday July 26th, from 1-3 at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East. His funeral will begin at 3pm. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Washington Park East Cemetery.

What we're doing to help:

To ease congestion, we’ve expanded the 10th Street entrance, which will be open during normal business hours for all guests. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this evolving situation. We’ll continue to monitor traffic flow and make adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible experience for our visitors.
