Frank L Ricketts (11/14/1931- 5/8/18), 86, was born at home on November 14, 1931 to Floyd and Bernadine Ricketts. He was the middle child of nine children. He grew up farming, something he loved until the day he died. In 1952, he married the love of his life, Lois Jeanne Roberts and four days later left for Korea. When he returned, he farmed and worked at Chrysler. In 1956, they moved to Indianapolis with their two children. He worked many jobs from then until his “retirement”. He drove an oil truck, owned Frank’s Furniture, and owned thirty-seven rentals. There wasn’t a job he wouldn’t try and usually succeed at, including being a full time nurse and care giver for Lois for 36 years after she got MS.
He never met a stranger and loved his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He belonged to East 38th Street Christian Church for many years and later to Castleton Christian Church.
He is preceded in death by Lois and his son Paul Ricketts, his parents, sisters Doris, Liz, Judy, and Kay, and brothers Edwin and Fred. He is survived by his daughter Patti (Tim), sister Sherry, brother Jerry (Mary), and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
