Frank Frolick, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on December 15, 2025.

Frank was born on August 5, 1950, in Lorain, Ohio, to Walter and Mary Frolick. From an early age, he lived by values of duty, hard work, service, and a strong faith in God—values that defined his entire life.

He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1972, rising to the rank of Sergeant. During his service, Frank completed two combat tours in Vietnam. On his first tour, he served as an aerial gunner with the Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron HMM-262. He returned for his second tour as an aviation supply clerk with the Marine Observation Squadron VMO-2. In the words of one of the Marines who served with him, “Frank saved a lot of lives over there.”

Frank was awarded the Combat Aircrew Wings with three gold stars for participation in aerial combat and the Marine Corps Air Medal for outstanding achievement, meritorious service, and heroism during combat operations. He also received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Like many of his generation, he did not seek recognition—he simply did his duty and moved on.

After returning home, Frank continued a life of service in a different but no less important way: as a devoted father. He dedicated himself to raising his three children and providing for his family.

Frank retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) after 38 years of service, during which he worked his way through multiple management roles. His career was marked by leadership, reliability, and a strong work ethic—traits he demanded of himself and quietly instilled in others.

A true outdoorsman, Frank found peace in nature. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and springtime mushroom hunting. He had a deep, lifelong connection to wildlife and the outdoors, appreciating it in a quiet, genuine way. Whether on the water or simply observing nature, he was most at home outside. Frank was also a lifelong sports car enthusiast, a passion that began with his first car, a 1967 Pontiac GTO, and continued through his love of Chevy Corvettes.

Frank’s selfless and giving spirit lives on through his family, particularly his two beloved sons who followed his example into careers of service. Jeff serves in law enforcement in Hamilton County, Indiana, and Joe serves as a firefighter/paramedic in Indianapolis. Frank took great pride in his children and family, spending every spare moment he could with them.

Frank is survived by his children: Joseph (Jennifer) Frolick of Fishers, Jeffery (Amy) Frolick of Noblesville, and Tara Frolick of Carmel; grandchildren Madeline, Ethan, Hunter, and Cole; great-grandson Jacob; siblings Al, Katie, and Carol; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his cousin and lifelong best friend, Dan.

Frank will be remembered as a Marine, a leader, a provider, and above all, a father who put his family first. His legacy is one of service, sacrifice, and steady strength.
