Frank Charles Fisbeck, 80, of Zionsville, died June 29, 2010 at home with family. Frank, who was known to his many friends as “Fizzer”, was born July 29, 1930 to the late Finley L. and Ann (Hyland) Fisbeck in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a graduate of Shortridge High School, and attended Indiana University, where he met his wife of nearly 57 years, Elizabeth Jane Miller. Frank was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy. Frank was president of Mineweld Company of Indiana from 1958 until his retirement in 1990. He was also a member of the American Business Club, where he thoroughly enjoyed poker parties, and Highland Country Club. He was a longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Whitestown. Frank is remembered as a loving and generous father and husband and a loyal friend. He will always be remembered for singing “It’s a Sin to Tell a Lie” at family weddings. He loved spending time with his family, and especially enjoyed travelling with his wife, children, and grandchildren to Hawaii. Frank will be greatly missed by his wife, Elizabeth; his children John, Michael, Julie, Carolynn, and Meribeth; his ten grandchildren; his sister Diana Madden-McKee; and his sister-in-law Carol Miller. He was preceded in death by his sister Kay Hanley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 107 S. Main Street, Whitestown. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm, Friday, July 1, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, Zionsville.
