Frank Dawson Garrison

Frank Dawson Garrison, 87, of New Palestine, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

Frank was born on September 1, 1930 in Flat Top, West Virginia to Frank O. Garrison and Bonny (Harvey) Walker. Frank left high school at the age of 17 to join the Army. He dedicated 39 years of service to the Ford Motor Company, retiring as a Machinist. Frank was a devoted provider for his family; finding time to relax in his recliner and read the newspaper only after his retirement. He could be found in that same chair watching the Pacers and Colts teams. Frank was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church and was loved by all who knew him.

He leaves behind a large extended family including his wife of 2 years, Sharon L. Sears-Garrison; children, Michael (Dee) Garrison, Kimberly (Jim) Monka, Keith (Shelby) Garrison, Rodney (Lori) Garrison; and numerous grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Garrison; and son, Frank D. “Gary” Garrison.

Funeral services for Frank will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. www.flannerbuchanan.com.
