Frank A Rexroth made his final journey home on June 8, 2018. His firm faith in God supported him in his final years and ultimately gave him peace.
He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 29, 1929 to the late Ludwig Gustav Rexroth and Irma Engel (Prange) Rexroth. He was known as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He was well known in his community as a business man, family man, and Christian. He was on the board of directors for the Lighthouse Mission for many years, a member of the Christian Business Men’s Connection, and the owner of Rex Business Machines. Frank married his best friend Margaret Waetjen and each would say that the other was the best thing that ever happened to them. They were blessed with a large family of six sons to whom they devoted the early part of their lives together. This included teaching them about Jesus, being involved in their educations and sports activities, and traveling to see the entire US as well as several foreign countries. Later, he and Margaret became involved in Christian world missions, Christian orphanages, and traveled the world to support missionaries and smuggle Bibles. Frank was often described as kind, soft-spoken, and generous. He was a wonderful example of the devotion of a husband to a wife. He will be dearly missed while we also celebrate that he is at home with Jesus and his beloved wife.
Frank is survived by his sons Mark (Cindy) of Carmel, IN, Paul (Susie) of Auburn, IN, David (Susan) of Parker, CO, John (Wendy) of Loveland, CO, Nathan of Burr Ridge, IL and Daniel (Amy) Rexroth of Indianapolis, IN; 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and a host of other family, relatives, and friends.
Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from 10:30-12:00 at Washington Park North Cemetery, 2702 Kessler Blvd. W Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46228. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:00.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Frank, please consider a memorial contribution to Wheeler Mission.
