Frank A. Crismore was born in Beanblossom Township, Monroe County, Indiana on January 13, 1909. He was the fifth son of William Henry and Azalee Willard Crismore. He was married sixty years to Mary Thomas Crismore before her passing in December of 1991. They raised their two sons and were involved in both their church and community activities during those years.
Frank was an out-of-doors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was still fishing earlier this year. His earlier years were spent farming but he joined Allison Division GMC in 1940 as part of the defense and war effort. He retired from Allison in 1972. He has never given up his love of the out-of-doors and maintained a large garden until he was ninety nine when he moved into a retirement community; however he still had flowers at his back door there.
Frank was preceded in death by both parents and his brothers; Emery, Carl, Orie, Herman and Robert. He is survived by his two sons Francis E. and his wife Beryl and John M. and his wife Mary Ann, Six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Frank you have earned your eternal rest.
