Frances Rodgers

Frances Isabell (Allen) Rodgers, 88, of Zionsville, Indiana passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Countryside Meadows of Avon. Frances was born on January 29, 1926 in Kingman, Indiana, to her late parents Charles A. and Clara L. (Shoemaker) Allen. Frances graduated from Wallace High School in 1943 and married Kenneth W. Rodgers on June 17, 1944. Frances was a member of the Zionsville United Methodist Church, a dental assistant, and homemaker in Zionsville for many years. She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Allen and sisters Fauniel Colson, Madeline Richardson, Marie "Pete" Greene, Bethavene Young, Pauline Hodge, Catherine Muston, and her former husband Kenneth W. Rodgers. She is survived by her brother Johnny Allen of Kingman, Indiana and her children Judy Rodgers (Peter Chapin), Kevin Rodgers (Karen), and Kerry Rodgers (Carolyn) along with 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine Street, Zionsville on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., where the funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark Dodd officiating. Burial will follow at Zionsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Heart Association, Child Fund International, or the Alzheimer's Association.
