Frances Rebecca Sizemore King passed away at 5:05PM on the 3rd day of June in the year of our Lord 2016. Frances “Friskie” was born on May 28, 1931 in Matoaka, WV. The daughter of William Clifton and Frances Rebecca Pritchard Sizemore, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dale Eugene Sizemore and half-sister, Patricia Glenn Cranford.
Frances graduated from Matoaka, WV High School in 1949 and went to work for General Telephone Company in Elizabeth City, NC. She also worked for telephone companies in Virginia and Indiana.
She married Louis King, Jr, the son of Lewis Eugene and Sylvia Lockett Marshall King, on December 10, 1954 in Elizabeth City, NC. They had two children, a daughter Malinda Rebecca King and a son Lewis Eugene King III. She was a member of the General William Campbell Chapter of the DAR for over 50 years and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of the Robert E. Kennington American Legion Post 34 since 1985. Louis and Frances were married for 61 years. They enjoyed taking their children and grandchildren back to the Matoaka, WV area to let them see where they grew up.
Frances is survived by her husband, Louis King, Jr., daughter Malinda King Anthony, Son-In-Law James Mark Anthony, Son Lewis Eugene King III, and Grandchildren James Reed Anthony and Anne Rebecca Anthony.
Calling will be held at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm with services at 2:00pm. Burial following at Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial contribution to “Third Phase, Inc.” 15755 Allisonville Road, Noblesville, IN. 46060.
