Frances M. Nalon

Frances M. Nalon, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 5, 2015. She was born on November 23, 1925, in Los Angeles, CA, to William and Daisy Bloomfield.

Frances worked for Butterfield and Co. and retired as controller in 2001.

Frances was the former president of the National Association of Women in Construction and the former secretary/treasurer of the George Bahre Company. She was also active in the Championship Auto Racing Association, American Legion Post 34, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Lindsey (Christopher) Decooman and Rickey Stookey; and two great grandchildren, Tylan and Ashtyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Duke Nalon in 2001, and her son, Rickey Stookey in 2013.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2015, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimers Foundation of America.
