Frances Loretha Banks was born on March 27, 1924 to William and Betty Stanley in Baltimore Maryland. Frances was preceded in death by husband; Charles R. Banks Sr., Daughters Betty “Lois” Belton (William Belton) and Barbara Davenport, and Grandsons-Dale, Tony, and Jeffrey.
She was raised in Baltimore Maryland and later moved to West Virginia and New York where she and her husband Richard raised 9 children. She poured her love into every last one of her children. Frances worked in hospitality services for 40+ years. She moved to Indianapolis in 1999 to be closer to her family as many of them moved to Indiana.
Frances had a loving, hospitable, and witty personality. She loved praising the Lord, spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and was very artistic. Francis believed in staying connected in the community. Her memberships included a long time Senior Saint member of Bethel AME Church, Grand Matron of The Eastern Star Chapter #27 of New York (50-year member) membership of Saint Matthew African Methodist Episcopal Church, president of Sarah Allen Missionary Society of West Virginia, stewardess of American War Mother and her membership in USA Patriots.
Frances Banks departed this life on March 24, 2019 at the age of 94 years old. She leaves children to cherish her memories Priscilla Robinson, Charles Banks Jr. (Drema Banks), Thersia Toombs Melvin Toombs, Deceased), Harold Banks, Alfreda Rogers (John Smith), Sharon Shannon (Harvey Shannon), and Sheila Gilliam, Patricia Twyman (Alfonzo Twyman) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and family and friends.
