Frances Kinslow

Frances Odelia Levi Kinslow 84, passed away on March 13, 2015. She was born on September 3, 1930, in Scottsville, Kentucky, to the late Joe E. and Birdie Shipley Levi. She was married to the late Ewell O. Kinslow for 53 years and they lived most of their married life in Indianapolis, Indiana. She had been a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church since 1956 and was involved in the Women's Missionary Union and Girl's Auxiliary, influencing the lives of many young girls. She also taught several Sunday school classes and was involved in other church activities. She was a wonderful cook and loved to sew and make quilts. She loved to laugh and always had a smile and helping hand for everyone. She opened her heart and her home to family, friends and church visitors throughout the years. She worked for Walker Research for twelve years. For the past 7 years, she lived in Knoxville, Tennessee, sharing many wonderful times with her daughter Kathy and son-in-law, Joe. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers Buford Levi, Bobby Levi and Billy Levi, sister-in-law Joan Levi and brother-in-law Wendell Sharp. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Joe May, brother Gerald Levi, sisters-in-law Leona, Wanda and Patty Levi, Barbara Sharp, many cousins and nieces and nephews. Some of her nieces and nephews called her "Saint Frances." She is also survived by special friends, Mayme Thomas, Reba Phelps, Jack and Rosa Watson, and the Schrock family. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan -Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with interment immediately following in Washington Park East Cemetery.
