Frances Jackson

Frances R. Jackson 93, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012. She was born September18, 1919 to Mr. & Mrs. Edward C. Schoen (Karrasch). She was a long-time organist at University Park Christian Church and Central Christian Church. A Missouri native, "Fran" came to Indiana after marrying Ernest Jackson, and was active in Matinee Musicale, Harmony Club, the Clio Club and Philanso Club. Among her many activities were the Indianapolis garden Club, White Cross Guild, and Phi Beta Fraternity (music). Frances was a caring mother to her son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Brenda, and a devoted grandmother to her granddaughter, Stephanie. Her family and friends will miss her soft laugh, her perspective wisdom, and her ever-present faith in God. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 57 years, Ernest M. Jackson, and brother, Vinton E. Schoen. A private burial service will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
