Frances E. Dorsett

87, Greenfield, passed away March 22, 2020. She was born on January 3, 1933 in Bedford, Indiana as the daughter of Henry and Edna Winterhalter.

Frances loved and enjoyed doing many things throughout her life. Frances enjoyed many types of sports, she loved playing basketball, bowling, and even golf. She was an avid sports fan as well, cheering on her favorite teams; such as the Colts, Cincinnati Reds, and IU. Frances also enjoyed volunteering. She volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul’s Help Line, and also Community East Hospital. Frances was also a huge dog lover. Her greatest loves in live though, was her love for God and her family. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Ginny (Don) Crawford; grandchildren: Katie Ferree, Joe Sullivan, Mary Elise Dorsett; great grandchildren: Aaron Sullivan, Mac Sullivan, Kacie Ferree; sister, Anne Miller; and daughter-in-law, Ellen Dorsett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth W. Dorsett; son, Dan Dorsett; son, Tim Dorsett; son, Alexander “Clay” Dorsett; and brother, Joseph “Pete” Winterhalter.

The family will be holding private services at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park.

The family wants to extend a special thanks to the loving and caring staff at Springhurst Health Campus as well as Seasons Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
