Frances Croft

September 28, 1933 — October 2, 2021

Indianapolis

Frances Delores Croft, 88 of Indianapolis, got her wings and went to fly with the angels on Saturday, October 2, 2021.  Frances was a devoted wife to her husband, Billy of 66 years, and together they had 4 children Mike, Diana, Doug, and Ken. Born to the late Eurie & Mary LeGate on September 28, 1933. She is survived by her 1 sister Margaret, and 2 brothers Eurie F. and Larry. Although a devoted wife and mother she also had a career with the Indianapolis Public School system and retired from the Indiana State Board of Health. Frances was a remarkable cook, and baker for her family. Many holiday seasons you would find her with her grandchildren making delicious cookies. Some of her interests included knitting, cross stitching, and doing puzzles. She also loved competition, you could find her and Billy watching St Louis Cardinal’s baseball, Indianapolis Colts football or playing a heated game of Rook. She was extremely proud of her family, especially her 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-grand children.  She will be deeply missed, but our sweetest memories will lighten our hearts and allow us to reflect on the many days of laughter and love we had together. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be directed to the American Cancer Society. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 12PM-2PM at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN, 46229. A funeral service to celebrate Frances' life will begin at 2PM. Frances will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery. The service may be livestreamed, here.
