Born September 3, 1943 – entered the arms of Christ on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
Bunny was a force to be reckoned with from the day she was born to Ray and Kathleen Bicknell of Lakewood, Ohio. She liked with zest – loving travel, laughter, family and a life dedicated to helping others, whether through her work or countless hours of volunteering.
Bunny was a skilled accountant, admired not only for her knowledge of IRS rules and regulations but also for her keen eye for detail, which eventually led her into forensic accounting. Her loyal clientele and professional excellence spoke volumes about her integrity and ability.
She devoted many years to Community North Hospital, serving as Treasurer and later as President of the Auxiliary. Through her leadership, she raised funds for vital hospital equipment and supported countless departments, leaving a lasting impact on her community. She also volunteered many hours to NODA (No One Dies Alone) and provided care and comfort to those in their last hours of life.
In retirement, Bunny split her time between Indiana and Florida, where she discovered a love of golf and bocce ball and continued her mastery at various card games. She became the heart of every gathering, known by all as the “party planner”. Whether it was the Super Bowl, Mardi Gras, a birthday or simply a Friday night, Bunny delighted in bringing people together.
She was compassionate, selfless and full of life. Bunny’s love for others and her boundless enthusiasm made her unforgettable to everyone blessed to know her. She cherished her family deeply – her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including those welcomed through marriage – and she loved them fiercely.
Bunny will always be remembered for her unwavering kindness, radiant spirit and tremendous love. She was a woman who wore her high heels with pride, never hesitated to reapply her lipstick – anywhere – and transformed strangers into friends with her warmth and open arms. Her zest for life and devotion to family leave a legacy that will continue through those she loved.
Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends will miss her dearly, but they will carry forward her spirit, her love of celebration and her joy in making everyday life grand – just like she would want.
