In hope of the Resurrection and life eternal, we commend to the Almighty the soul of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who has finished his earthly course. A man of profound faith, he was honored in life with the esteemed dignity of a Protopresbyter-Stavrophor, faithfully bearing the Cross of Christ as a servant of the Holy Church.

In his youth, he answered the call of duty with steadfast courage, serving with distinction as a French Foreign Legionnaire. His faith was forged in the pits of the Goli Otok prison camp. Rising from those depths a Proud Serb and a lifelong nationalist of the Serbian Orthodox People, he stood as a staunch, unwavering anti-communist, defending the sacred heritage, freedom, and identity of his nation against the tides of tyranny.

His patriotism was matched only by the depth of his Christian charity; he was a true humanitarian who opened his heart and hands to all people suffering through the dark years of conflict in the Krajina, Slavonia, Bosnia, and Hercegovina.

Having finished his custody, kept the faith, and spent his life in service to God and his devoted neighbors, he now rests from his sufferings. May the Lord God honor his noble service, his love and devotion to his family, and grant him rest in the mansions of the righteous.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Our dear and most beloved +Fr. Mihailo Mikic passed on to the Lord and following are the funeral arrangements. Please remember his soul in your prayers and pray for his family.This Friday 4:30 PM arrival to the church and a short memorial service inside the new church; visitation in the existing church from 5 PM to 7 PM (finger food in the hall) with the funeral service beginning at 7 PM at Saint Nicholas Church: 7855 Marsh Rd., Indianapolis, IN.He will spend the night at the church and on Saturday morning after Divine Liturgy, which will begin at 8 AM, the Funeral Home will pick him up and take him to the New Gracanica Monastery (35240 W Grant Ave, Lake Villa, IL) for the memorial service at 1 PM (Chicago time) after which we will head to the gravesite for the burial. After the burial, memorial luncheon will be served at the hall on Monastery grounds. May his memory be eternal, and may God establish his soul were the Saints repose and give his family strength to endure this temporary separation. 

DONATIONS: The family is asking that instead of flowers we offer donations for the building of the new church.
