Florence Schoening

Florence Codalata Schoening, 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on June 28, 2026.

 Florence was known for her kindness, strength, and devotion to those around her. She will be especially remembered for warmly greeting everyone with her familiar phrase, “Hi Hun‑ny,” a simple expression that reflected her loving and welcoming spirit.

Her greatest treasure was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Florence was a devoted caregiver her entire life, selflessly dedicating herself to the care of her son, Andy, always putting others before herself.

Florence is survived by her loving family, daughters Dree (Randy) Miller, Susan (Matt) Vest, son Andy, grandchildren Jake (Dana) Munns, Josh Munns, Justin (Tye Ann) Munns, Connor (Aryn) Vest, Ryan (Stacey)Miller, great grandchildren Gavin, Mina, Tate, Noah, Miles and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by family members who welcomed her home.

Services will be held on July 3, 2026, with visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Constantine & Elena Romanian Orthodox Church, 3237 West 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN.

Florence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
