Florence I. Shelley Achelpohl

Florence I. Shelley Achelpohl 89, of Indianapolis, passed away, December 24, 2010 in Danville, IN. She was a retired secretary for Wayne Township Schools. She was also a foster parent for the Children’s Bureau of Indianapolis. She was a member of Garden City Christian Church. She was preceded in death by husbands: Franklin W. Shelley and Hubert L. Achelpohl, brother, Donald Harris and grandson Curtis Shelley. She is survived by children: Gilbert Shelley, Clifford Shelley, William Shelley and Judy Kerlin, seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway. Services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11 am at the funeral center. Burial will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to donor’s favorite charity.
