Fayetta B. Coons

Fayetta B. Coons 96, peacefully passed away June 25, 2012, at the Greenwood Health and Living Center, where she had loving care for five years. Faye was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Frances and Benjamin West on January 3, 1916. She was a homemaker before joining Dow Chemical, where she worked as a telephone operator and receptionist for more than 20 years, before retiring in January 1981. Faye was the widow of Harold Coons. She is survived by her daughter, Mildred (Harold) Stinson; niece, Ellie Noe; graddaughter, Kelly (Gregg) Pyers; grandson, Chris (Kathy) Stinson; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are step-daughters, Barbara (Bill) Gould and Beverly (Fred) Forbis. A private family service and burial will be held Thursday, June 28 at 11 a.m. in Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park North . Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
