EWELL THRASHER

1941-2026

Our precious father, Ewell Thrasher, age 84, went to be with our lord on April 29, 2026.

Ewell was born on May 10, 1941, in Burkesville, Kentucky to the late Ewell Keith and Annie Kate Thrasher. After Ewell’s family moved to Indianapolis, Ewell graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1961. Following graduation, Ewell married his high school sweetheart Marleen O’Brien. He then pursued a career in real estate and became a successful real estate developer and certified property manager.

Ewell was a man of strong faith, a loving family man, supportive friend to all and a community leader. Ewell will be remembered for his intelligence, humor, wisdom, kindness, philanthropic spirit and unwavering love and devotion for his family. Ewell enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, skiing and being outdoors.

Ewell was preceded in death by his parents, Ewell and Annie, brothers Prentice and Kenneth, and sister, Lottie. Ewell is survived by Marleen, his wife of 64 years, daughter’s Kelly (John), Kristina (David), Rebecca, three grandchildren, Whitney, Courtney, Joshua, great-grandson, Sebastian and his little dog, Billy.
