Everette Eugene Sasser, 71, of Clayton, Indiana passed away on September 20, 2021. He was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina on September 15, 1950 to the late Jack Dempsey and Mildred Lucille (Gurley) Sasser. Everette was retired from Shorewood Packing/MPS as a Maintenance Electrician and Supervisor. He proudly served his country in both the United States Army and United States Air Force. Everette had many interests and was said to have a dry sense of humor, very generous, good hearted, and a man of God who was a strong believer in his faith. He enjoyed golfing, coaching basketball at both Decatur Middle School and Hawthorne Community Center, building motorcycles and most of all spending time with his beloved family. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Everette was survived by his loving wife, Karen J. (Trent) Sasser, children, Brandy (Justin) Bridgman, Everette (Morgan) Sasser II, Kevin (Kebra) Sasser, Christie (David) Hughs, grandchildren, Savannah, Makayla, Lacey, Jayden, Alayna, Kaelob, Michael, Isaiah, Kevin Jr., Kaycee, Everette III, Kayla, Annie, Bailey, Abby, Marissa, Wooley, Tyler, Kierrah, great grandchildren, Elijah, Olivia, Charlotte, April, Elliott, Asher, his sisters, Susan (Richard) Parker and Janet Long and his brother, Danny Trent. Services will be held 4PM on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township with visitation there from 2:00 PM -4:00 PM. In accordance with his wishes the family has chosen cremation.
