Everett Watts Shows, 85, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011. He was born on March 18, 1925 to Alvie Everett and Julia Ellen (Watts) Shows in Ruston, Louisiana. Everett served his country in the Army Air Corp. during WWII and worked as a Mechanical Engineer for General Motors. He was a former member of Exeter Avenue Baptist Church, and a current member of Church of the Master. Everett was also a volunteer for the Rolls Royce Heritage Trust Museum Allison Branch and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Leola Ella (Cousins) Shows; children, David (Nona) Shows and Carol (Craig) Shows-Williams; grandchildren, Robert Everett (Melissa) Shows, Melissa Ann Shows and Lawrence C. (Rhonda) Shows. Everett is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Murl Ruddick. Funeral services for Mr. Shows will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 6:30pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will take place at a later date in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
