Evelyn Clara Clark Wilhelm 99 of Carmel, Indiana passed away August 8, 2013. Evelyn was born November 18, 1913, in Frankfort, IN. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1932, being active in sports, languages, debate and the National High School Chorus. She married Howard R. Wilhelm in 1931 and survived him in 1968. The couple lived in Carmel from 1954 until his passing, where Mrs. Wilhelm lived independently until 2003. She was a bookkeeper for the original Cathedral High School, where she was mentored by the Brothers of the Holy Cross. She later went on to keep records for General Electric briefly, but was later a bookkeeper for John Kirk Enterprises for several decades until 2003. She was an avid Bridge player and a season ticket holder for the Indianapolis Colts. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Delph, grandsons, Jamie (Cindy), Stephen, Michael (Beth) and John Howard (Becky). She is also survived by great grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Abigail, Isaiah, Evelyn, David, Anna, Eliana, Emma and Lilly, as well as a great-great granddaughter, Jordyn. Granny, you didn't make it on the cover of the smuckers jar at 99 ¾ years, but you came close enough for us! Your spirit will live on forever! Service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 12, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Oaklawn in Good Shepherd Chapel with visitation three hours prior. Evelyn will be buried at the Wilhelm family burial plot at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, next to her late husband, Howard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in name of Stephen Delph to the Damien Center, 26 N. Arsenal Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46201.
