Evelyn G. Thompson, 96, of Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Evelyn was born September 12, 1924 in Akron, OH to the late Xavier and Augusta Mann. During the war she worked at Herman Machine Shop. Evelyn’s main roles were mom, granny, and great-grandma, and was especially known for her delicious home-made cookies.
She was a life-long Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville, Indiana.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 25 at 2:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Hamilton Memorial Park.
Evelyn was the widow of Ira Thompson after a marriage of 69 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Ron Thompson; and son-in-law, Tim Keenan. She is survived by her daughters Patty Keenan and Debbie (husband Les) Carter and daughter-in-law Celeste Thompson. Evelyn has 7 grandchildren: Amy Keenan, Patrick (wife Lauren) Keenan, David Vinnenberg, Chris Vinnenberg, Leslie Fryar, Joe (wife Erin) Thompson, and Lee (wife Katie) Thompson. She has 7 great-grandchildren: Ryan Keenan, Theo Keenan, Avery Vinnenberg, Macie Thompson, Alli Thompson, Lucas Thompson, and Anna Thompson.
