Evelyn Eilizabeth Dobkins

Evelyn E. Dobkins 86, of Indianapolis, passed away, Friday, December 10, 2010. She was born November 9, 1924 to the late William and Lillian Burkhart in Indianapolis. She worked as an employee for RCA for over 32 years, where she worked hard to provide for her children. Her family was her life. She is survived by her children, Candy (Mike) Close, Dan (Faye) Dobkins; sister, Frankie (Bob) Bishop; and 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norman Burkhart, Jack Burkhart; and sister, Peggy McDonald. Visitation for Evelyn will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, a funeral service will follow visitation at 2 p.m. at the funeral center. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
