E. June Vos June passed away on April 30, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Paul Vos, as well as two children, Julie Ellen Skaggs and Andrew "Andy" Jay Vos and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Florence Gorby Plummer and her father, Clifford Plummer. June graduated from Butler University in 1947 and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She taught English at Shortridge High School for 10 years. June was instrumental in creating the first high school radio at Shortridge. June loved teaching and taught children's Sunday School at Broadway United Methodist Church for many years, as well as teaching Adult Sunday School for Epworth, the Aldersgate and Broadway Workers. She became a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in 1947 after she and Paul were married. While at Broadway, June participated in the Altar Guild, Pastor Parish Committee, Shut-In Visitations, United Methodist Women, as well as starting the Prayer Circle. June was a member of the Crossroads Guild since 1979. June was also an animal activist. June never met a dog she did not love. She was one of the founding members of FACE, a spay and neuter hospital for animals. Memorial service will be on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Noon, with calling one hour prior in Broadway United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Flanner and Buchanan - Broad Ripple .
