Eugene Holdaway

Eugene Holdaway 86, Indianapolis, passed away November 21, 2013. Gene served in the Navy as a cook for four years near the end of WWII. He was a talented butcher in the Indianapolis area for most of his career. Gene will be remembered for the twinkle in his eye and his warm, loving personality. His kindness was felt by everyone who knew him. In the 1950's he married Dorothy and had two sons, Stewart and Richard. Gene was preceded in death by Dorothy, Stewart and Richard and survived by grandchildren, Stacy Hamilton, Richard and Andrew Holdaway, three great grandchildren, sister-in-law Joann Baldwin, sister-in-law Johanna Holdaway and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Holdaway. Services for Gene will be at 10:30 am on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
