Esther Padura Mangaoang, a devoted and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully went to sleep in Jesus on March 25, 2024, at Indiana University Methodist Hospital.
Born on March 10, 1929, in San Nicolas, Pangasinan, Philippines, to Pedro and Candida Padura. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1955 from Philippine Union College.
Esther was married to Benjamin, who preceded her in death in 2014. Together, they raised four children: Nobleza (Sonny), Nora (Jim), Ben Jr. (Marie), and Michael (Jina). She left behind nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deeply devoted to her faith, Esther cherished her relationship with Jesus, spending her days in prayer, Bible reading, and study. She found solace in the writings of her favorite author, Ellen G. White, having read the entire Conflict of the Ages series at least once in her later years. Additionally, she had a passion for watching sports on TV and enjoyed sewing until the final months of her life.
Esther's absence will be keenly felt by her family, leaving behind a profound void in their hearts.
Her Celebration of Life is set for Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 1:00 pm
