Ester Velvie Smith

Ester Velvie Smith Loving mother, grandmother and friend to all, passed away on May 18, 2013 in her Indianapolis home, she was 87. She was an assembler for Western Electric for 19 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by her family that she dearly loved; her son Thomas "Gale" Smith and his wife Joan, son Rondal Smith and his wife Gloria, daughter Katrina "Tina" White, and son Wendell "Louie" Smith and his wife Cindi; grandchildren: Tommy, Jeff, Chrissy, Calene, Janette, Brandy, Kevin, , Jackie, Carri, Krysta and Rachelle, great-grandchildren: Trey, Todd, Jeff, Brooke, Drew, Lauren, Shaylynn, Reese, Casey, Colin, Jordan, McKinzie, and great-great-grandchildren: Owen, Kamree and Caden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer T. Smith and son, Jackie Randy Smith. The funeral will be at 12PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in Flanner and Buchanan - Decatur , with visitation there on Tuesday, May 21 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to Noon. Additional services will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 2 p.m. in Alexander Funeral Home-Lafayette, TN, with visitation there from 11 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
