Ernesto Avelino Carrasco, Sr.

95 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on November 4, 2025. Ernesto was born on November 10, 1929, in Oaxaca, Mexico. He was a retired Psychiatrist. He began his career at VA Hospital on Cold Springs Road. Then worked at Central State Hospital and various other hospitals. He ended his career at Picard Mental Health. He was a Colonel in the Army Reserves. He was a member of Sts. Constantine and Elena Romanian Orthodox Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Margarita Carrasco and son Ernesto Carrasco, Jr. He is survived by his daughters Rocio Carrasco and Margarita (Jerry) Hart, grandchildren Andrew (Sarah) Hart and Matthew (Stephanie) Hart, great grandchildren Camden Hart, Chloe Hart and Jacob Hart and brother Enrique Carrasco. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm with a Wake Service at 7:30 pm at Sts. Constantine and Elena Romanian Orthodox Church. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 11 am at Sts. Constantine and Elena Romanian Church with burial following at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
