Ernest "Ed" Hall, a dedicated veteran and respected member of his community, passed away in his sleep, at home, on November 3, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 84. Born on April 20, 1941, Ed led a life filled with service, commitment, and a remarkable sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him.

Ed served two tours in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, demonstrating his bravery and dedication to his country. Following his military service, he transitioned into a fulfilling career as an air traffic controller, before embarking on a successful path as a contractor, general contractor, and construction manager. His professional journey was marked by a relentless work ethic and a commitment to excellence, traits that earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Known for his quick wit and playful teasing, Ed was the kind of person who could light up a room with laughter. He had a unique ability to support and uplift those around him, always ensuring that he was there when it mattered most. In his personal life, Ed was devoted to his interests, with a cherished tradition of watching the weekly NASCAR race which always brought excitement and joy to his weekends.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his brother Paul Hall, sister Marci Williams, his sons Samuel, David, Michael, and Jacob Hall, and 10 grand and great-grand children. Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife Earlene Hall, as well as his parents, James "Bud" Hall and Irene Casey Hall, brothers Tim and Bob, and sister Frances, all of whom he held dear in his heart.

Ed’s legacy is remembered through the lives he touched and the memories he created with his family and friends. His spirit of camaraderie and strength will live on in their hearts, a testament to a life well-lived. He will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

Calling will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan - Speedway.
