Erin Jean Loftis, 67, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on February 11, 2026. She was born on September 4, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois.

 Erin was a woman of unwavering faith who loved the Lord through life’s ups and downs. She was well known for the loving care of her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She cherished time spent with church members at gatherings, luncheons, women’s bible study, and outings with friends. Erin kept in touch with friends from her childhood in both Illinois and Iowa, often meeting up for a meal, reunions, and thrift shopping. 

Erin dedicated 25 years of service at Walgreen’s where she enjoyed serving customers in the photo department. She took the time to get to know her customers and their families, developing their photos with love and care. She was well known for her dedicated work ethic and kindness. 

She is survived by her loving children, Stephanie (Mark) Lambert of Carmel, IN; Josiah Loftis of Mildenhall, England; and Matthew (Leeann) Loftis of Milford, IN, along with her cherished grandchildren and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Castleview Church – 8601 Hague Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46256, with a celebration of life immediately following at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery – 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a cause that was close to her heart, Breakthrough T1D, which supports juvenile diabetes research & advocacy.
