Eric Nolan Hergenroether
26, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 21st, 2013. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Eric had been residing in Columbus, IN as an in home care giver over the past year. He graduated from Decatur Central High School in 2005 and attended classes at the University of Indianapolis.
Eric was always admired by his peers and elders for his great musicianship. He was naturally gifted musically and academically. Interest was shown in the drums at age eight and from there on it became his niche. Over his time as a percussionist Eric toured the East Coast and played countless local gigs. Music was where Eric's heart resided and he was well on his way to making a career out of it.
Eric will be remembered forever for his bright smile, sense of humor, his love of music, his sensitive nature, nonconformist spirit, thirst for knowledge and truth, his passion for music- especially jazz, his love of reading and writing, and his brilliant mind.
Left behind by Eric's death are his loving mother and father, Walter and Theresa Hergenroether, his brother Jack, sister Laura, Grandmother Anna Nolan, and Grandmother Patricia Hergenroether and aunts, uncles and cousins. Eric was predeceased by Grandfather Jack Hergenroether and Grandfather Red Nolan.
A reception will be held Wednesday at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North from 6-9pm, with a celebration of Eric's life to begin at 7pm.
