Erda 'Maxine' Elliott

Erda "Maxine" Elliott, 94, of Indianapolis, formerly of Angola, IN, passed away March 10, 2013. She was born June 15, 1918 in Greenfield, Indiana. Survivors include her children, Sandy(Dave) Hoffman, Glant(Mary) Elliott, Terri(Mark) Vandermark, daughter-in-law, Jan; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Elliott, son, Harrell Gene Elliott, and two grandsons, Gary Hoffman and Kris Barrow. Maxine was retired from the United Christian Missions, where she worked as a bookkeeper. After retirement, she volunteered at Cameron Hospital in Angola. Maxine was a member of Linwood Christian Church, where she played organ for many years; and later Warren Baptist Church. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing euchre, knitting, sewing, and later Wii Bowling. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 11-12 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street.
