Ercel Barker

Ercel W. Barker, 83, of Indianapolis passed away March 13, 2011. He was born March 2,1928 in Lewis County, Kentucky to James (JC) and Bessie Barker. He served his country in the US Air Corps, was a retired driver for Greyhound Lines, Inc., and was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union and Church of the Master. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Josephine, his daughter Cathy Imhausen, 7 brothers and sisters and his son-in-law Gary Tewell. Survivors include his son Ronnie (Beverly) Barker, daughters Trenda Peters, Sonja (Darryl) Thompson and Pam Tewell, brother Arlen Barker, sister Peggy Holt, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Floral Park. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral center with burial to follow in Floral Park Cemetery.
