Emily Paige Bookout, 31, passed away on February 24, 2026, in Sheridan, Indiana. She was born on December 21, 1994, in Georgia, to the late David and Kimberley Harmon.
Emily brightened the lives of those around her with her happy and bubbly personality. She was outgoing and truly never met a stranger. Her infectious laughter could fill up a room.
Emily had a deep love for her family, including her beloved niece and nephew, Lauren and Stephen. Emily was also their god mother, and they held a special place in her heart. She was passionate and devoted herself to the things she loved most in life, including her unwavering faith in God. Emily also cherished her two dogs and two cats, who were never far from her side.
Emily enjoyed travelling to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and being able to look at the beautiful views of the mountains. She also loved relaxing at the beach.
She had many favorite hobbies, including baking, cooking and drawing. She loved attending church and strengthening her relationship with Jesus. She had a generous spirit and valued her time giving back to her community.
Emily’s spirit and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched during her time here.
Emily is survived by her loving husband, Jacob; brother, Garrett (Faith) Harmon; niece and nephew, Lauren and Stephen; grandparents, Carol and Gary Harmon; aunt, Marcy Mock; sister-in-law, Jessica; brother-in-law, Justin; mother-in-law, Rita Kehr; and father-in-law, Talmadge Bookout.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, David and Kimberley.
A Celebration of Emily’s Life will be held on Thursday, March 5, at 11am, with a time to gather from 10am to 11am, at CrossRoads Church at Westfield, 19201 Grassy Branch Rd, Westfield, IN 46074.
