Elsie M. "Dolly" Mumaugh,
Born September 18, 1923 in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Friday morning, November 1.
Elsie, who was the youngest of the five children born to Franklin and Effie Keuthan, grew up on the near East Side of Indianapolis. She was a 1941 graduate of Tech High School. While at Tech, Elsie, or Dolly as she was known, met her future husband, Harry E. Mumaugh. The Mumaughs were married in 1942 shortly before Harry left for the Service, and they celebrated their 68th anniversary before Harry died in 2010.
Dolly worked at P.R. Mallory during WWII, and later was a cafeteria manager for the Warren Township School System. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and journaling.
Dolly is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bettie Gibbs of Greensburg, Indiana. Harry and Dolly Mumaugh had four children. The three living children are Pamela(Alan) Thomas, Jill(Mike) Clouser, and Harry "Hal"(Glenda) Mumaugh, II. One child, Tim Mumaugh, passed away in November of 2012. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Teresa(Alex) Briggs, Alana(Tony) Thomas, Sue(James) Cogdill, Christopher Clouser, Steven(Jeannie) Clouser, Kelly(Brad) Rose, Brian(Lisa) Mumaugh, and Andrea(Derek) Lee. Dolly also had 13 great grandchildren who survive her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 3-7 PM at the funeral home.
