82 years old, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away at home on Wednesday, July 27, 2016

surrounded by her loving family. Ella was employed for many years before she retired at Community Hospital as an LPN. She was known for being a quilting Artist and enjoying life to its fullest. Ella was a member of Daughters of American Revolution and numerous quilting guilds. Ella was loving and had a generous spirit to all who knew her.

Ella issurvived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Fitzgerald; children, JaniceFitzgerald Milligan (Rosemary Downey), Richard Fitzgerald (Becky), JosephFitzgerald, and Susan Reuter (Steve); 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren;sister in law, Ruth Blanford; siblings, Jane Minton (Jim), Donald Blanford(Jeannine), Theresa Hedrick, and Judy Neal. She was preceded in death by herparents, Paul and M. Louise Blanford; brother, T. Sam Blanford; brother in law,George Hedrick; 2 grandchildren, Susan Milligan and Bryan Chadwick.

Family and Friends may gather from 4:00pm-8:00pmMonday, August 1, 2016 in Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East 10722 E.Washington St. Indianapolis, with Funeral Mass Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at10:00am in Nativity Catholic Church 7225 Southeastern Ave. Indianapolis. Burialwill follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
