Elizabeth Vissing-Anderson

Elizabeth L. Vissing Anderson 92, Indianapolis, passed away August 23, 2013. She was born July 5, 1921, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of the late Irland L. and Margaret (Fitzgerald) Simmons. She married William Chapin Vissing in 1943, and he preceded her in passing April 5, 1959. She later married Richard Anderson in 1982, and he preceded her in passing April 23, 2004. Elizabeth received her Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. She was a world traveler and enjoyed cruising. She is survived by her children, Susan Vissing (Ronald) Moore, Joan Vissing (John) Diercks, Judith (Ron) Edgecomb, David William (Kathryn) Vissing, William Charles Vissing; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by a son, Daniel M. Vissing. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 East 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220.
