Elizabeth Ann Lee

Elizabeth Ann Lee (neé Montgomery) of Indianapolis passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 85.

An Indiana native, Ann attended Earlham College before graduating from nursing school as an R.N. She raised her family in Evansville and was active in her children’s school. 

She worked as a psychiatric nurse at Welborn Hospital in Evansville and later at LaRue Carter Hospital in Indianapolis. 

Ann enjoyed travel in Europe and visited Germany, Italy, and Ireland. She most liked spending time with family, playing word games, trying new recipes, shoe shopping, and family trips to places like Puerto Rico and Jekyll Island, GA.

Despite her own very challenging childhood, Ann was a survivor. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring funny friend. She will be dearly missed by both family and friends.

Ann is survived by her daughters Kelly Elshoff and Kathryn Elshoff, son Kevin Elshoff and his partner Larry Smith, and grandson Ryan Merola.
