Elizabeth Jean -Betty- Dowell

Elizabeth Jean “Betty” Dowell, Age 82 of Indianapolis passed away on June 4, 2016. She was born December 18, 1933 in Boone County, Indiana to Fay and Ruby Wilhoite. She graduated from Whitestown High School. She retired from the Accounting department at IUPUI Hospital. After her retirement, she worked for H&R Block. She enjoyed square dancing and camping. She was a member of Marsview Christian Church and the Red Hat Society.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Marion, John “Buddy” and James Irvin Wilhoite. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Bobby and her children, Cindy (Dan) Solis and Linda (Larry) Batts, step-children, Debbie (Alan) Farris, Beverly (Mike) Sturm and Denise (Roger) Kuhlenschmidt, her sister, Bonnie (Leonard) Eberwein, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit from 4-8 PM Tuesday June 7, 2016 and from 11 AM until service time 1 PM Wednesday at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis.
