Elizabeth Jane Philips

Elizabeth Jane Philips, 97 of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday March 19, 2021. She was born in Pascagoula, MS on November 25, 1923 to the late Norman Payne and Linnie Bell Emmit. Elizabeth obtained her nursing degree from Morehead State University and went on to be a Registered Nurse at St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, KY.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Victoria Meyer, Norman (Marie) Philips, Audrey (Brian) Cunningham, and Nadine (Eric) Hale; grandchildren, Lauryn, Brandyn (Dawn), John (Jenny), Michelle, Chris (Kelsi), Kathleen (Devin), Heather, and Brittany; and seven great grandchildren, with an additional one on the way. She is preceded in passing by her loving husband, Marvin J. Philips, and her 2 sisters, Margie, and Dorothy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 24, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229). A graveside service will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
