Elizabeth Marie Collins November 21, 1950 – June 23, 2025

Elizabeth Marie Collins, lovingly known as Sue, Susie, Mom, Mammaw, Gigi, and Vovó by those closest to her, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 23, 2025. Born on November 21, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sue was the cherished daughter of Anthony Correa and Alice White Correa Soriano.

Remembered for her warm smile and strong work ethic, Sue dedicated many years to Kroger, serving as both a cashier and office employee. She retired after a career she took great pride in. She had a deep love for music and found peace watching the birds from her favorite chair. A natural caregiver and compassionate listener, she was the heart of her family. Her home was always open for cookouts, laughter, summer swims, and card games with memories her loved ones will forever treasure. A phone call from Sue was something to count on, especially her yearly tradition of singing “Happy Birthday” to each family member that will be missed beyond words.

Her beautiful spirit lives on through her beloved husband, Jerry Collins Sr., and her children: Tonya (Frank) Davis, Peggy Collins, Jerry (Laurie) Collins Jr., and Chris (Mary) Collins. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Correa, as well as thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life.

She is reunited in peace with her parents, Tony and Alice, stepfather Calixto Soriano, brother Dicky Correa, and grandson Kerry Collins.

Sue's presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her love will continue to surround her family forever.
